B. Braun Medical Industries Sdn. Bhd. (BMI) recently presented a donation totalling RM215,000 to four charity homes – The Children’s Protection Society Penang, Pertubuhan Rumah Kebajikan Seri Cahaya Penang, Persatuan Kebajikan HOPE Worldwide Malaysia, and Persatuan Kebajikan Suara Kanak-Kanak Malaysia (SUKA).
The funds were raised through the company’s annual charity run event with its employees, which aims to provide support for disadvantaged children and adolescents, addressing their specific needs, ranging from healthcare, education and social well-being.
Mr. Lam Chee Hong, President, B. Braun Asia Pacific said, “From the very inception of this charity run, our goal was clear: to make a tangible difference in the lives of underprivileged children – to offer them hope and to provide them with the opportunities they might not receive otherwise. Children are the foundation of our future, and every child deserves a safe, healthy, and happy life. We believe that by investing in their well-being today, we are nurturing the potential leaders and contributors of tomorrow.”
Mr. Lam presented the mock cheques to this year’s charity recipients during an appreciation ceremony held at the company’s premises in Bayan Lepas. On hand to receive the mock cheques from Mr. Lam were Ms. Magdeline Leong, Honorary Secretary of The Children’s Protection Society; Ms. June Kow, Senior Programme Manager of Persatuan Kebajikan HOPE Worldwide Malaysia; Mr. Girithren A/L Veerasingam, President of Pertubuhan Rumah Kebajikan Seri Cahaya Penang; and Ms. Sonia Ann Thomas, Executive, Persatuan Kebajikan Suara Kanak-Kanak Malaysia (SUKA).
