Allianz Malaysia Berhad Group (Allianz Malaysia) proudly concludes its Allianz Charity Day 2023, a volunteering initiative for the employees to promote volunteerism, give back to the community, and clean up our environment.

This year, some 1,042 Allianz Malaysia’s dedicated employees across the nation, together with five Directors, a former Director, and 36 volunteers from the Regional Delivery Centre of Allianz Technology Malaysia participated in activities such as cleaning up of beaches, streets, forests, rivers, and parks; conducting various activities for community-based causes such as building refurbishment, community engagements, community sport’s day, Terry Fox charity run, and education tutoring, food preparation and distributions to the needy, and empowering children from the community.


Allianz Malaysia Directors and Senior Management walked the talk by embarking on the volunteerism journey to do their bit for Allianz Charity Day through meal preparations for the needy.

The event saw the directors donning chef hats to prepare pasta at Save Environment Save Ourselves (SESO) Malaysia in Petaling Jaya, to be distributed to beneficiaries from the PJ Caring Home.

SESO Malaysia is a non-governmental organisation (NGO), whose main goal is to fight against food waste and food poverty, whilst helping to build communities particularly for those who are suffering from social isolation.

Allianz Malaysia, via its corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm, Allianz4Good kickstarted Allianz Charity Day in September 2023 in conjunction with the World Cleanup Day until end of December 2023.

A total of more than one tonne of trash were collected and ethically disposed throughout September. Besides clean-up activities, Allianz Malaysia employees also volunteering in NGOs such as, SESO, Cahaya Society Sandakan, Buku Jalanan Chow Kit, Selangor Association for Mentally Handicapped, Persatuan Kebajikan Orang Bermasalah Pembelajaran, The Free Tree Society, Cancer Research Malaysia, Badan Warisan Malaysia, KECHARA Soup Kitchen, PERTIWI Soup Kitchen, Yayasan Chow Kit, The Children’s Protection Society Compound, SPCA Tawau, and Fungates Superflow Foundation through various activities and engagements with their beneficiaries.

Head of Allianz4Good, Ng Siew Gek said the Company is proud to receive overwhelming support from Allianz Malaysia employees including Senior Management and Directors for Allianz Charity Day.

“We believe that the spirit of giving back and doing good for the society should be in the DNA of everyone in the Allianz Malaysia Family. Volunteerism gives the opportunity to our colleagues to experience and join hands as a team to give back to the people in need and the environment.

“We hope that this initiative inspires our colleagues to embrace volunteerism, making Every Day a Charity Day at Allianz Malaysia,” she added.
